The goal of the Health and Human Services facet is to promote and facilitate programs that support the maintenance of good health. Particular emphasis is placed on bringing awareness to and eliminating chronic health disparities in communities of color. This is accomplished through education, health advocacy, and optimal utilization of health resources. Two major and national components are organ donation awareness, and childhood obesity.

his important facet was added at the 2010 National Assembly. The Health and Human Services facet addresses issues relating to health disparities of African Americans in our local community, as well as nationally. Our current theme of “Links Living to be Healthy” demonstrates a commitment to improving the health and wellness of each member of the chapter, as we seek to be good role models for each other, our families, and for our community.
